AAF Lexington presents Interactive Social 2.0, Wednesday, October 28, 2015. The afternoon session will feature internationally recognized keynote speakers: Hans Neubert, Chief Creative Officer, frog design, New York, NY and Michele Silvestri, EVP, Global Director of Design, WPP Team Detroit / Global Team Ford, Detroit, MI as they share perspectives on what it takes to thrive in an increasingly interconnected, digitally driven world. For the evening session, Hans and Michele will join a panel discussion with local creatives: Katie O’Malley, Chief Executive Officer, Zipie, Randy Janeshek, Global Web Creative Director, Lexmark, Chris Eddie, Owner, Smiley Pete Publishing, moderated by David Caldwell, Principal, Balance Creative.

As chief creative officer of frog, Hans is responsible for the company’s global creative vision. He brings over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of product, digital, and brand design. Hans leads a team of 300 user experience experts, designers, researchers, strategists, and technologists. Together they create new product and brand experiences for clients around the world. frog’s client list includes: American Express, Audi, Chase, Disney, Dolby, Equinox, Facebook, Gatorade, GE, Google, GM, Honda, Nike, Novartis, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Under Armour, UNICEF, Verizon, VW, and many others.

Prior to frog, Hans was an executive creative director at Razorfish, managing director at VSA Partners, and executive creative director at Red Sky Interactive, which was acquired by Agency.com (now TBWA/Chiat/Day). Hans moved to New York City in the early 1990’s to work with legendary ad man Steve Frankfurt at Frankfurt Gips Balkind, and he never left the city.

Hans has a degree in communications from the KAH Hamburg, Germany, and a bachelor of fine arts from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. His work has won numerous awards and was featured on Sundance Channel, Communication Arts,I.D. Magazine, Graphis, Print, The New York Times, Creative Review, The Type Directors Club, AIGA, The NY Art Directors Club, and the American Center for Design.

Michele Silvestri is the design evangelist and visual language guardian at WPP’s Team Detroit. Her role is to cultivate strategic design thinking and beautiful, crafted communications. As the brand guardian for Ford, her duties take on a global scale, collaborating with partner offices in Shanghai, London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Toronto. Under her leadership, Ford established its first ever Global Look + Style, aligning a successful visual framework for all communications worldwide. Not an easy feat.

Michele’s endless enthusiasm, keen intuition and left and right brain sensibilities set her apart as a trusted business advisor. Prior to Team Detroit, she has led design thinking and crafted design solutions at JWT, FCB, Bozell, and Perich for a variety of Automotive and Non-Automotive Brands. Hailing with honors from the University of Michigan School of Art+Design, also makes her a Wolverine among many Spartans.

Michele has been recognized by the EFFIEs, CA, AIGA, GDUSA, TDC, DDF, The D Show a nd the Urban Green Council. She is a contributing writer at SharpHeels.com, an Advisory Board member of the DC3 and has served on the AIGA Detroit Executive Board. She remains active in her local design community as a mentor, advisor and lecturer. Michele has also been named one of Graphic Design USA’s “People to Watch” and is a frequent speaker at conferences like OpenCo Detroit, SXSW Interactive and the Detroit Design Festival.
